Out of nowhere came the rain
and all the attempts to hide went in vain
it never distinguished between men and women
neither between the colours of the skin
the thin fabric welcomed the drops, pure and devoid of sin
and the drops once so sweet did become so saline
they wash the stain as they roll down
like the tears when in pain
can we ever avoid the rain
for the destinies of ours, it reigns
sometimes it leaves us to shine
and sometimes to flow in the drain
Still it's better to get wet
then to be dry and sweat
